If I Weren't Married Already...

I'd want to marry Grassroots Mom for this article. It's *awesome* and really shows Obama's policy chops, which are even stronger than I'd suspected from my admittedly smaller amount of research.

If your biggest worry about Obama is that he hasn't accomplished anything, go and read this article. Grassroots Mom did her research into both candidates, and she breaks it down, and her support for Obama came *after* that, not before.

I read that last week and thought it was well researched and fair. But from what I could tell there were two major problems with it: 1) It only compared the last year when both candidates were in the senate, ignoring the extra 6 years of legislation that Hillary was part of; and 2) it discarded her work as first lady, which is often relevant to today's issues, such as her work on the state children's health insurance program.

It was an eye-opener though and I learned a few things. If only Kirk Watson had read it before fumbling on national television last week. :-)

Both fair points. Honestly, I'm more interested in what it says about Obama than what it says about Clinton, if only because it serves as a reminder that "Obama hasn't accomplished anything" is not even remotely true.

However, I would also say that it seems somewhat fair to compare the two of them on an equal basis, because shouldn't the argument go that the latest year should be equally strong or stronger to her previous years in terms of what has been accomplished? It seems like that's the foundation of the argument that experience is key, that it helps to accomplish more with each passing year.
