1. Stay on budget. I've bought 10 of my 12 seasons (Angie Tribeca, Better Call Saul, Full Frontal Seasons 1-2, Supergirl, Last Panthers, Preacher, Night Manager, Mr. Robot, You're The Worst) which puts me right at the budget for the year. Overwatch put out a free Halloween mode, and that's been keeping me plenty busy in videogame land. Although I'm already eyeing some stuff for next year.
2. New recipes. I started finding more new stuff at the end of the year, although more misses than hits. Found a simpler beef stew recipe that's not as good as the one I got from my mom, but is considerably easier for busier nights. Tried out a chicken, potato and spinach bake with garlic parmesan cream sauce which needs work, and a cheesy green chile rice that was the blandest white people recipe I think I've ever eaten. And found a recipe for chicken, asparagus and mushroom stir fry that's definitely going into the regular rotation. Made a White Chicken Chili in the Instant Pot that I really liked. Got a few more to try out as well, before the year is out.
